Fernando Marquez  | Director of Operations

Fernando’s initial work experience as an engineer and drilling expert for PDVSA gave him a great petroleum background. His work credentials were further established in PDVSA when he became a trader of fuel oil, diesel and other petroleum products for this Venezuelan company.

Later, Fernando was Vice President of the BORCO terminal in the Bahamas, a 20-million-barrel storage facility that is the world’s fourth largest terminal.  After four years at BORCO, he started South Caribbean Trading.  This business was primarily blending and converting middle distillates into finished products.  Fernando was later involved in the successful operations of the Eastern terminal in Jersey City.

Fernando’s extensive hands-on experience, along with his trading background and no-nonsense approach to getting things done, make him a great addition to the Liberty Terminal at Pennsauken team.
